The engines in the Audi Q5 combine high performance with refinement and impressive efficiency. Two powerful petrol engines and three potent diesel units with direct injection are available.
In FSIFSIGetting more out of every drop of petrol.FSI ® technology, the fuel is injected directly into the combustion chamber and atomised into a fine spray. This way, the fuel – metered to almost droplet precision – can be called upon the millisecond that the engine requires it. This means better utilisation of the fuel and ultimately, reduced consumption. In the Audi Q5, TFSITFSIAudi was the first manufacturer in the world to combine petrol direct injection with turbocharging in large-scale car productionTFSI ® technology is also used in the 2.0 litre engine. And the remarkable thing about it is that it combines the advantages of FSI with those of exhaust-gas turbocharging. This combination of FSI concept and turbocharger not only enables excellent efficiency and dynamics, but also improves engine power. You will notice it as soon as you accelerate the 2.0 TFSI engine with 155 kW. When combined with the optionally available S tronicS tronicFaster gearshifts, sportier driving: the S tronic combines the sporty characteristics of a manual gearbox with the advantages of an automatic.S tronic , it takes you from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.2 seconds.
