Audi TFSI engines attain a particularly high compression ratio. The result: outstanding efficiency combined with optimum performance. Substituting turbocharging for cubic capacity has the effect of reducing engine size and weight considerably – while performance is as impressively dynamic as ever. For power delivery that will win you over from the word go.
Audi cylinder on demand – intelligent and innovative.
Even cylinder heads can be intelligent, as Audi cylinder on demand proves. Four of the TFSI engine’s eight cylinders automatically shut down in the partial-load range. This helps to lower fuel consumption and reduce emissions. And without the switchover even being noticed or impairing the driving dynamics.
tiptronic® – dynamic and smooth.
The 8-speed automatic transmission with Dynamic Shift Program (DSP) ensures faster gear changes without any perceptible break in propulsive power.

Fuel consumption and CO2 emissions figures are obtained under standardised test conditions (Directive 93/116/EEC) using a representative model. This allows direct comparison between different models from different manufacturers, but may not represent the actual fuel consumption achieved in 'real world' driving conditions. *Recommended On-The-Road (OTR) retail prices include: delivery charge, half a tank of fuel, number plates, first registration fee at £55.00 and Vehicle Excise Duty.
Recommended On-The-Road (OTR) retail prices shown are based on the current 2017/18 VED rate.
As outlined in the Chancellor of the Exchequer’s 2015 budget, the way Vehicle Excise Duty (VED) is calculated will change from Saturday 1 April 2017 for the majority of vehicles. The first licence will continue to be calculated using the vehicle’s CO2 value, but subsequent licences will be based on a standard rate of £140. Vehicles with a list price exceeding £40,000 (including factory installed options, delivery charge, number plates and VAT) will pay an additional £310 plus the standard annual rate for a 5 year period. After the 5 year period only the standard rate will apply.
